The beginning of the rest of my life

Well hello there...

For a few months I have been thinking about starting my own T-shirt company using my own designs and incorporating my unique sense of style. This is my first step at taking on the world of fashion design so wish me luck!

I was recently inspired by a fashion trend that has hit the high street with a bang. “geek” T-shirts, there everywhere! I can’t seem to go into any high street shop without seeing their own version of this new trend.  So I got out my screen printing kit (more photos to follow) and knocked out my own version of this trend “sheep”, I think it sums up this new trend nicely.

With the design ready and printed I thought I would invite over my beautiful sister and an equally gorgeous friend of mine for a day of dressing up and photo shooting! We had lots of fun and I think it shows in some of the photos! I really enjoyed every step of this process and I love being able to design, wear and share my very own unique items of clothing, let me know what you all think about my design I would love to hear some feedback or even take some orders! More details about where to purchase these tees coming soon.

Craft #002 - Beanie

I bought myself a very cheap beanie from Ebay It was less than £2 which is a bargain in my books! It was plain black which is a little boring so i spruced it up.

Boring Hat!!!

Fun Hat!!!

I simply added a few pearls around the rim of the hat and it gave it a completely new look. Its so easy and cheap why not spruce up your own beanie. Adding your own little touch makes its different to everyone else's because nobody wants to be a sheep!!

I would love to see what you have done with your Beanie, add a link in the comment box and I'll be sure to check it out.

Beanies are back!

I do love a good hat (I own a lot) and I am so glad the beanie has made a grand return. Everywhere you look someone is rocking the beanie, in their own unique way and I love it!

Here are a few that I am loving right now.

Find out tomorrow what I did with my Beanie to give it some ElephantBum sparkle!

I would love to see what style of hat you are loving at the moment, post a link below and I promise to check it out.

Barcelona

Last weekend I had the privilege of jetting off to Barcelona for 4 days. I am going to start by saying it was warm for all those who are English and are experiencing the crazy snow/sleet/rain weather will understand that any sign of the sun is the most amazing feeling in the world right now.

One of my beautiful friends is currently doing a year out there for her University Degree (squeal with jealousy) this meant that we got a local experience, which was great. We ate gorgeous food in very cheap places I couldn't of asked for anything better. It was also her birthday whilst we were out there so we had a lovely day at the beach (again squeal with jealousy) then went for a gorgeous dinner.

The Barcelona Marathon happened whilst we were out there and a few of our friends took part. I am extremely proud of them all, I could never do anything like that. They all finished under 5 hours which is very impressive, we stood on the sideline and cheered them along.

I had a great holiday and would defiantly advise Barcelona to be your next weekend city break. Here are a few photos from the trip.

Gracias Barcelona!

March's Glossy Box

Its that time of the month again when I show you all what I received in my Glossy Box! So this months theme was Fashion in the City.

So in this months box we received....

Elizabeth Arden - Eight Hour Cream
What I love about this cream is that it can be used anywhere you feel you need it. I have been using it on my lips and it works a dream. It has no scent which I like because I'm not constantly licking it off, which you tend to do when they smell amazing.

Tresemme Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray
I have yet to use this hairspray so I can't give you my opinion on it but I do hope it doesn't leave my hair crusty.
Nails Inc
You can't have enough nail polish especially nice red colours. The colour I received was 'St James's' I love wearing red so I am sure i am going to love this one.
Jelly Pong Pong - Lip Blush
I love this product it is so moisturising and the colour is great a soft pink tone. It looks great for a normal day-to-day colour.
Juicy Couture - Couture La La
This smells rather nice, I preferred last months scent but this is defiantly wearable.

I can not wait for next months box, I would advise everyone to sign up for Glossy Box it is a great way to try new brands and items you wouldn't otherwise.

Liz Earle - Natural Active Skincare

If you haven't heard of Liz Earle, LOOK HER UP!

Back in 1995 Liz Earle and co-founder Kim Buckland came together and created 'Liz Earle'. I bought the Liz Earle 'Naturally Active Skincare' and I love it

It removes make up and moisturises your skin and smells divine. I bought a small 30ml bottle and got a free cloth with my purchase. Once I received my package I got another 30ml 'Naturally Active Skincare' and a cloth for free, what a bonus!!

Once these two bottles run out I'm defiantly going to purchase a bigger bottle, its so easy to use and takes off all my makeup. Give it a go!

My Week in Instagram Pics

Goodbye February

I love February, it is the month of love. Its thats one month in the year where you can shout out loud how much you love that one special person and I most certainly did.

On Valentines Day we shared a bed picnic (which is just a picnic on your bed), we ate pizza, salad and for dessert melted chocolate with strawberries. It was great, just the two of us having a nice evening in and talking. We exchanged handmade cards with lovely messages inside.

It was a fantastic day and I hope everyone else had as much of a good day as we did!

In Covent Garden last month there as a massive metal structure spelling LOVE. People could attach their padlocks with messages for their loved ones all over it.

I managed to see it at the end of the month so it was full of metal discs. I liked walking around and reading some of them, they were lovely.

So goodbye February and hello March, I hope the weather starts to get a little warmer as I can no longer handle the cold.

I hope you all had a loved up February!!
